For many years a vehicles a/c evaporator and the heater core (the cooling and heat exchangers similar to a radiator) have been installed under the dash area in a box type unit built with air flow and temperature control doors. These doors are operated by either engine vacuum motors or small electrical motors. In a lot of applications it is a time consuming process to remove the box units and then another disassembly process of the box unit to replace the core or cores. Levers and gears must be synchronized correctly when being reassembled or air flow direction and or air temperature will be incorrect. After such a repair you don't want a rattle or an electrical unit that was functioning and now is not because of a poor connection or missing screws.
The four pictures above show some of the process to gain access to the box containing both the heater core & the evaporator core. (Pic 4 is the box)
You don't want to have to do the above pictured disassembly process more than once so we strive to return your vehicle back to you functioning as it came in or in some cases better because we notice something that needs attention and make it right.
